Description
This Apple Fritter Bread combines the comforting flavors of a classic apple fritter into a beautifully swirled loaf cake with warm spices and a caramel apple butter ribbon. It’s perfect for brunch or a cozy treat!

- 250 g (2 cups) All-Purpose Flour, sifted
- 30 g (2 Tbsp) Granulated Sugar
- 5 g (1 tsp) Baking Powder
- 2 g (ยฝ tsp) Baking Soda
- 2 g (ยฝ tsp) Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 120 ml (ยฝ cup) Oat Milk
- 60 ml (ยผ cup) Plain Yogurt
- 1 Large Egg
- 30 ml (2 Tbsp) Melted Unsalted Butter
- 150 g (1 cup) Diced Apple, peeled and cored
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 100 g (ยฝ cup) Unsweetened Apple Butter
- 30 g (2 Tbsp) Brown Sugar
- ยฝ tsp Ground Cinnamon
- ยผ tsp Ground Clove
- 15 ml (1 Tbsp) Melted Unsalted Butter
- 30 g (ยผ cup) Rolled Oats
- 20 g (2 Tbsp) Brown Sugar
- 15 g (1 Tbsp) Melted Unsalted Butter
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk milk, yogurt, egg, and melted butter.
- Combine Wet & Dry: Gently combine wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in Apples: Gently fold in diced apples and lemon juice.
- Make Apple Butter Swirl: Melt butter, stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, and apple butter.
- Layer Batter: Spread half the batter into the pan.
- Create First Swirl: Drop spoonfuls of apple butter swirl and gently swirl.
- Add Remaining Batter: Top with remaining batter and repeat swirl.
- Make Oat Crumble: Combine oats, brown sugar, butter, and salt.
- Sprinkle & Bake: Sprinkle crumble over loaf and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Cool & Enjoy: Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For a vibrant swirl, don’t over-swirl the apple butter. Using room temperature ingredients helps create a smoother batter.
