Ingredients
- 1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 Tbsp powdered sugar
- ยฝ tsp cinnamon (for swirl)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecan halves
- ยฝ cup dark brown sugar
- ยผ cup maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for filling)
- ยฝ tsp nutmeg
- ยผ tsp salt
- ยฝ cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
- ยผ cup heavy cream
- Pinch of salt
- 2 Tbsp toasted pecan pieces
- Pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make Swirl: Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, ยฝ tsp cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
- Unroll & Spread: Unroll crescent dough, separate into triangles, and spread with cream cheese mixture.
- Pecan Filling: Combine pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, 1 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Roll & Arrange: Spoon pecan mixture onto cream cheese, roll up triangles, and place seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Make Glaze: Melt sugar in a saucepan, add butter, then slowly whisk in heavy cream and salt.
- Glaze & Garnish: Brush rolls with caramel glaze, sprinkle with toasted pecans and cinnamon.
- Serve: Transfer to a platter and serve warm.
Notes
For optimal swirling, use standard crescent roll dough, not flaky layers. Toasting pecans enhances their flavor.
